Hydroseeding our specialty
Hydroseeding is a fast way to have a beautiful green lawn within weeks. It is a excellent choice for the finishing step of any newly built homes, construction projects, graded hillsides, or any torn up area such as pipeline construction, gas well sites. We do offer planting of wildflowers & clover as well in rocky soils . Most typical grass seed we use is Bluegrass & Perennial. The best time to plant is in the spring or in the fall. It can be planted anytime as long as water is available April-October.
Benefits to hydroseeding
By having your lawn hydroseeded, you are ensuring nearly 100% seed growth. Each seed is suspended & protected in a mulch mat. You won't have the problem watching your seeds wash away in streams. Seeds are held securely in place by mulch fibers, which creates a mini-greenhouse effect, retaining water, and promoting seed germination. It produces a high quality lawn without a high price tag of doing sod. provides erosion control, no loose straw, & faster grow time.
We want you to have a successful beautiful Lawn & offer assistance in any way to help, but it does require some key Maintenace.
**Soil Preparation we offer is key. It begins with testing soil ph. It needs 1-3in of loosened rock free soil before applying the hydroseed for ideal lawns.
**Watering is key. The hydroseed cannot go more than 24hrs without watering in dry conditions until it germinates. (5-14days) The more it stays damp the faster it will grow & establish. After hydroseeding I give written instructions about this.
**Yard Maintenance is key. Even after soil testing & germination the lawn will need fertilized a minimum of 4 times a season to keep weeds down & it looking green. Also watered if it begins to burn in dry high heat weather.
what to expect:
It does take 2 full years for a lawn to fill in & settling to occur. Bare spots can occur from puddling but will eventually fill in.
weeds will get in the lawn just from blowing in the wind.
Some rocks will still surface during settling (that weren't seen or detected raking.) We recommend at least 4 fertilizing treatments a season.
Landscaping
Our main goal is to offer a landscape that is low maintenance, beautiful, & long lasting. We can do almost any size job. A typical process involves weed control, edging, fabric, then material. Landscape tear-outs for bushes that have taken over and cannot be trimmed back & removing a surplus of old material. Planting trees (large or small) varies on the time of year for availability & optimal chance to survive and thrive.
